Hi, I’m Erchana,

I’m a Burleigh local, a businesswoman and a running tragic. Last year I ran 150 marathons back-to-back from Cape York to Melbourne that not only raised vital funds for Australian biodiversity but also captured audiences across the world.
Bringing people together and taking the lead on issues important to my community is what I do best..
Like many of you, I don’t feel the major parties represent the things that are important to me and my community.
That’s why I’m running as a community independent. I want to take your concerns, issues and interests to Canberra, so we have a strong local voice in Parliament.
I will be accountable to our community, not a political party.
I’d love to hear more about the things that matter to you in McPherson.

Policy focus areas

Our policy platform is built on the foundation of listening to you, our community. The key pillars you’ll find here stem directly from the insights, concerns, and ideas shared through our Listening Report—a reflection of the voices, experiences, and priorities of people across McPherson.

But this is just the beginning. Listening doesn’t stop here. We are committed to ongoing conversations with our community to refine these policies and develop new ones that address emerging challenges and opportunities. Your input will continue to shape our vision, ensuring that every decision we make is grounded in the needs and aspirations of the people we serve.

Together, we can build a stronger, fairer, and more connected community.

Integrity and Community Accountability

We are committed to open, honest, and transparent governance. By prioritising the voices of the McPherson community, we can restore trust in politics and ensure decisions reflect the needs and values of those we represent. I am passionate about bringing our community together and ensuring that decision-making is driven by the people. It’s time to put the community back in charge.

Tackling Cost of Living and Housing Affordability

We understand that many in our community are doing it tough, struggling to make ends meet while corporate profits continue to rise. It's time for decisive action to address the growing financial pressures on households and businesses.

We are committed to advocating for a fairer, more sustainable housing system. The current system is broken, and fixing the housing crisis requires courage, determination, and bold reforms.

We'd love your ideas and thoughts on this topic
